It is a balmy -1F here with -12F windchill. Time to get out the beach wear.

A major issue at these cold temps is the hydraulics don't really work at all at these temps on my Toro Groundsmaster mower equipped with snow blower. I'm trying to find a solution for the hydraulic oil that doesn't require changing it twice a year. Toro's recommendation is ATF in the winter and 10W30 motor oil in the summer. The recommendations are 20 years old so trying to see if modern fluids would not require the twice yearly change.

It's 50 right now, supposed to get to 71

this morning when I got up it was clear and bright, no wind at all, -19F. It's 3:45 pm right now and still no wind to speak of ( unusual for us ) and the temp is +4 F.
