I have a rayjet 30 watt and want to increase the power into a 50 watt. Is it just as simple as changing the tube? Or is it a completely different unit?

Don't know if a Rayjet can be upgraded to 50 but if it can your most likely have to change the power supply and increase the length of the case as a 50 watt tube is much longer then a 30 watt tube

Garth,
Contact Trotec Laser Canad in your back yard.......Langley BC. I'm sure they will know all the answers.
Remember Rayjat is Trotec division.

Here are specification from mfg:

Rayjet 50 Specifications:

Outside Dimensions: 28.5”W x 16.5”H x 26.7”D
Engraving Area: 18” x 12”
Laser Power: 12, 30, and 50 watts
Engraving Speed: 60”/sec

Bert, Rayjet is equipped with metal laser source not glass so length does not apply it this case.
