I have someone who wants to give me a Rockwell Jawhorse to use in woodworking. Do any of you use one for woodworking or anything else? Are they practical for anything? If so, what uses? I don't want a space taker that serves little to no purpose but if it's handy that's another story. Thanks.

It might come in really handy, for garage tasks where you don't have workspace.

Just make sure to lubricate the folding parts.
If it freezes shut, it's no longer useful.

They are very handy and they fold up and roll out of the way when you don't need them. Nothing like having a portable vise that is often an extra hand.
I recently bought the welding attachment for mine. I do some welding but I find the adjustable C clamp to be helpful for other projects as well.

I'm a one man shop. It is very helpful as an extra set of hands or base for a temporary bench/work support. If you have the opportunity, take it.
