I decided to sharpen the knifes on my 15" planer, got my Tormek set-up for sharpening them. Removed the first blade, after sharpening it I decided to blow out the cutter head to remove any dust in the groove for the knife. Ended up blowing one of the springs away which are used to raise the knife when reinstalling it. Couldn't find it anywhere but took apart an old ball point pen, the spring was the right dia. but too long. Cut it shorter and it worked perfectly.

Great story of being in the shop.

A small thing can make us feel great. That is what it is all about.

I was feeling great until doing the last knife. I went to take the moveable part of the jig off. I usually slide it to the right side but rushing to finish before supper I tried to remove on the left side and let it drop into the leather honing wheel. It caught the leather and ruined the wheel, time to spend $69.00 for a new wheel.
