View Full Version : Building A "Door Stand"

I volunteer with our local Habitat chapter and have been asked to build the door stand pictured below. These will be used to support doors that have been painted/decorated that are for sale. As usual, all I have is the picture and no dimensions.
I'm thinking about using 2x6 stock cut 24" long, cutting the slot 1 7/8" wide and having shims to use for any interior (1 3/8") doors.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think you're spot on just as long as there aren't any crossbreezes, i.e. if they are in an outdoor venue. They would go sailing.

No, they'll be displayed in a mall.

Looks great. I made basically the same thing to display shoji panels at a trade show. Worked great.
