Cherry spice rack

After lurking here for a few years, I guess it's time to post a finished project. I made this spice rack for our son.

I know that most spice racks have rails to keep the jars from falling out. The way he will use it, rails would be in the way. I think that the shelves are deep enough to keep jars from falling.

Jay I like your spice rack! How did you finish the cherry?

Thanks Ken. I applied about 8 coats of General Finishes Gel Topcoat, with a couple of passes of OOOO steel wool along the way. I considered using BLO before the topcoat, but decided against it.

Thanks guys. I've done a lot of rough-and-ready woodwork over the years. I am trying to move up to building furniture, picking small projects to learn on. This forum has been a lot of help and a source of inspiration.
