Carter or Euro guide bearings for MM20 Bandsaw

I am about to send in my order for a new Minimax S500P (MM20). I understand it ships with Carter guide bearings, but the European guides are an option. There seems to be a split in opinion on which is better. I will be using the machine 90% for resawing.


What are the advantages of one over the other? All info welcome. Would love to hear from those who have used both on the S500P (or MM16).

Maybe you could put your location on your post and see if anyone near you has a MM bandsaw. I could only comment on the euro guides, which I like.
