Hi,

We have a Speedy 300 and I have been thinking of the best way to cut and piece together mylar stencils that are bigger that the bed size which is 29" x 17"?

All help is greatly appreciated as we are new to this.

I would probably try double sided engraver's tape.

Can you be more specific? Are the stencils you want to make longer than the bed, wider than the bed, or both?

What do the stencils do? Does the outline need to be laser cut or can it be losely toleranced?

What is the actual "image size" or "bounding box" of the stencil?

If the outer edges are not critical, you might be able to overlap the sheet mylar into non-cutting zones eg overlapping the ruler/left guide.

Does this laser have a door on the front or is there a place to "roll" the mylar if you index the sheet?

If it is just a paint stencil alignment of the separate sheets is not that critical and I would just scribe some registration targets on adjacent sheets and use PSA tape as Mike suggests.

If alignment is more critical you could laser holes and align using pins. If need be you could then tape over the holes.
