There are many posts about which blade is best for resawing, but how about for contour cutting?

I'll be getting a Minimax MM20 soon, and will use that for resawing and set up my Minimax S45 for contour cutting.

Any advice appreciated!

Thanks,

Len

Anyone? I'm planning to order a Lennox Diemaster 2 in 3/8" and 6 tpi. Has anyone used that configuration?

Thanks.

That is what I use. The Diemaster bimetal blades are great. The bands are softer metal for more flexibility and the teeth are harder metal to maintain sharpness. Lasts a long time.

The width of the blades you use depends upon the minimum radius you want to cut.

You may also want to stone the back edges of the blade once it is mounted so that the sharp corner on the back of the blade doesn't dig into the wood on tight corners.

Thanks Lee. That is a very useful chart. I think 3/8 is fine for my needs.
