What the Heck is this Tool??

I have a friend who is asking what this tool may be. I am doubtful it is for lathe work, but maybe you folks have ideas what it may be???

it looks like an oyster knife, but I've never seen one with teeth on the blade.

it could be used for cleaning buffing wheels.

The first looks like an apple corer. The second looks like a grapefruit knife used to separate the sections for easy eating

Could it be a fish scaler, with the notch at the tip to help removing the hook from the fish's mouth?

Brian had the correct answer as that is exactly what it looks like. There were a couple of creative guesses however!!!
