I've watched this before and as an archer myself... he is unbelievable! Most impressive.

Holy cow! Catching an arrow? Wonder how he practiced that without getting killed.

That was amazing. Now I have to make a bow that will receive an arrow on the right side. Or learn to shoot left handed. Or both.

I'll do those things in my free time.

If anyone is curious about specific historic claims a good text for researching these would be: http://www.amazon.com/Traditional-Archery-Six-Continents-Collection/dp/0826217516

(ob. discl. I arranged for the second printing when the price rose up to four digits)

That was really amazing. I wonder how much of it was camera tricks? Or possibly hours and hours of filming to get each shot. Still pretty incredible.

Incredible. That's the best you-tube thing I've ever seen. With athletic skills like that Lars could excel at any sport. How cool that he got inspired by history and proved that legendary feats could be done.

Catching an oncoming arrow and instantly shooting it back WOW!

I imagine there were quite a bit of multiple takes per final shot used, but I'm convinced that guy has the arrow manipulation down to do the rapid fire and other arrow handling tricks.

Archers must have been indispensable to any army centuries ago, after watching the youtube clip I understand why.
