Here are the dressers done.
Constructed of Red Oak. Stained with Dark Walnut. Clear coat is Polycrylic.

John, very nice. The dovetail really "pop" with that dark stain! Good job.

John.....absolutely beautiful! Queston?.....Did you stain the drawer fronts before assembling? :confused: The dovetails look gorgeous with the contrasting woods/staining.

NICE....I like the trim work and the drawers fit perfectly. And you said this was your first "attempt" using your dovetail jig? I'd say it was an excellent attempt. Congradulations, very nice job.

We stained the end grain before we dovetailed the drawer fronts. That way the stain contrasted with the poplar sides and the stain did not affect the glue up.

Absoulty beautiful ! I agree that the dovetails realy set it apart.

56 sets of DT's, huh. Would have had to sharpen a chisel or two for those guys. I can't quite tell from the photos, but there might be an extra 8 sets for the two bases.

Yes that was our first attempt. We used a PC jig, the older one. We uses lots of scraps for test pieces before we got the set up right. I have an old Craftsman one speed router I keep for just dovetails.
