I have an old Ridgid cordless drill that has a stuck chuck, I can't open it to get a bit out. Does anyone know how to get this thing loose again? Thanks. -Howard

Got a vice? I'd use a vise and the torque of the gun. I still have a strong grip and haven't had one I couldn't wrestle loose with a little hate-and-discontent. Watch your knuckles.
No vice? Channel locks. No channel locks? Go to the hardware store. No man shall be without channel locks.

+1 on vice. Spay in some WD-40 or similar first.

Strap wrench.

+1 on the strap wrench.
Metal jaws will score the chuck
and that will be hard on your hands.
Spray you penetrating lube of choice.
Put the entire drill in a plastic bag that can be sealed.
Allow to sit overnight.
Use strap wrench (or rubber shelf liner) to grip the chuck.
A longer lever arm might help generate sufficient torque
to break the locked parts free.

+2 on the strap wrench
You can pick up a bunch of different sizes for cheap at the dollar junk stores.

I would use the strap wrench and the WD40 and tap it lightly with a small hammer
