Picked up a new pup yesterday. Here she is with our 11 year old Husky.
She's part Great Pyrenees/Part Blue Tick & all energy!

The Husky is a male so they get along pretty well. He's sort of old and set in his ways though and doesn't have a lot of patience for "puppy things".

She definitely has the Blue Tick in her.

Nice puppy. I don't see much of Great Pyrenees. If she is - be ready for frequent vacuuming. This is my dogs - big one - Akbash breed from GP family.

I had a Pyrenees. She was a great dog, loved kids, even when they jumped all over her. Got her full grown at the pound, and loved her for 10 years. The kids are in there 40's now.

Congratulations! Was she a shelter dog?

Yep - Humane Society of Harrison County West Virginia....

(& no, NE Ohio isn't at all close! - Blame my wife for that! She had her heart set on a Great Peewee and the only pup we could find was a 3 and a half hour drive away!)

LOL! Shelter/rescue dogs are all like that. What ever you want, that's exactly what they have! If you want a big dog, then that's what it's going to be. If you want a little dog, then that's what it's going to be. :D.
My wife's happy - the dog seems thrilled and our old Husky seems to be mostly ok with things.

Nice pup.. GF volunteers at local shelter (wv also). She had a great pyr and offered to foster over the holidays. Low and behold just prior to the holiday a 3-4 year old pyr comes in. Needless to say it came home, and 5 days later (the wait period) its hers. 90 lbs starved to death, soaking wet. He's gaining ground slowly but a beast. Not sure if the link will work.

Congrats, I'm glad the new and old are getting along. I tried to bring a small rescue in and my yorkie would have none of it.

Looks like a trouble maker. Keep your shoes up.
