Today I was using my PM 14" bandsaw, and was notching a piece from a length of hardwood flooring. I know backing out of a cut can be dicey, but I'm done it many times before with little complaint from the saw. This time, the top wheel locked up and wrecked the blade, while throwing the tire. The wheel turns, but it doesn't spin freely. It doesn't appear bound on anything and I'm thinking the bearing. I attached a photo of the wheel. Any suggestions on how to attack this? Should I pull the wheel, and if so how? Thanks.

Ive pulled a blade off before backing out of a cut, but its never done any real damage to either tires or bearings, possibly nicked a few teeth on the blade. My guess, the bearings may have failed at a very coincidental time. If the wheel wont spin, id start by pulling that and checking the bearings.
