Getting ready to install some urethane tires on an old Craftsman bandsaw I just restored (late 40's to early 50's). Have a question about fitting them, as they need to be trimmed about .125" to fit inside the ridges on the edge of the wheels.
Would it be better to cut them prior to installation, or could I install them and trim to fit with some sharp utility blades?
