Obviously I have not gotten into the 21st Century yet since I still use a chalk line to install crown moulding, so...
Does anyone have a method to remove it? The walls are painted with latex and I was hoping to not have to repaint them but the pink line is visible even after caulking. Not much of that needed most places.
Thanks
Forrest

The only solution I know of is a little late - use white chalk

Mix warm water with a little bit of baking soda and ammonia. Dip a rag or sponge in the solution, wring it out, and wipe off the chalk. Won't hurt the paint if you do it gently.

Denatured alcohol removes chalk easily.

Thanks, John. Soft bristle brush and denatured alcohol dissolved the chalk and the pencil lines. Quick swipe of a rag before alcohol dried did the trick.
