Can Gravostyle software work on non-Gravograph Lasers?

The owners are looking into getting a new laser. The store has been using Gravostyle and its ancestors since they opened. All of the lasers are Gravograph/New Hermes.

Can the Gravostyle software work with another brand laser like an Epliog or Trotec?

I know someone people will say to update out of Gravostyle but the rest of the staffs' computer capabilities can handle the simplistic layout of Gravostyle. There is a fear of change. Besides, the thought of having to convert over 10 years of customer files to a new software is terrifying. Some of our regular customers are set in their ways and want to keep their orders look exactly the same as before with simple name and year changes.

The answer is yes. What you do is you simply hit File -> Print and select your new laser and run the settings through their proprietary driver. You cannot go into Gravostyle and hit the laser button and set your orientation, dpi, power, speed ect. That will only work with your Gravograph machines.

Honestly, it's really not a big deal at all. It's a change in process but not a big one.

Great.....thank you.....we already have to print that way on the older laser so that would not be too much hassle. It is a weight off my shoulders.
