anyone know how to find a post that was moved without having to go on a treasure hut to find it?

I think that when they move an entire thread, there is a marker left on the original forum saying "moved to".

If you are talking about one individual post out of a thread - - - itthat has disappeared, it is becasue the Mod Squad nuked it. But - they generally send the author of that post a PM telling them.

YOu might want to send a PM to the Mods, asking about your specific case...............

Eugene....do you know who the OP (originating poster) was.......who started the thread?

If you are the OP, you can go to your profile and look under "Find Latest Started Threads"...on the left side of the page just below your name. There you can find the thread and go to the thread unless it was moved to the Moderator's Forum.

First, we don't normally delete threads. We move them to the Moderator's Forum where they are no longer in public view.

If we move a thread, typically we may or may not leave a "redirect" which may be permanent or may be temporary depending on the whim of the Moderator when he sets up the redirect.

When a thread is moved to the Moderators Forum, I will normally send a PM to the OP.
