Just got this saw and was wondering it someone could give me guidelines to tension setting for different size blades. The set up with the original blade 3/4 said to set it between 4-6 so I set it on 5 and it seemed to work well, but put a 1 inch timberwolf and could hardly get to to 4! any help would be appreciated.

The blade manufacturer should have that kind of data on their website.

There are finger push tests (1/4"), and the flutter test (the most artistic probably)

Then, you have the bandsaw blade tension gages. Pricey.

Anyone here will tell you that your stock gage on the saw is just a reference point-and is not for actually 'measuring' the tension. You set up the tension for a particular blade, then see what you stock gage reads, mark it. Then you can go back to it...for that particular blade.

Forgive me if you already know the above.:)
