The notification about this new tool came during the time of the free shipping:

303868

It is kind of small, 3", the metal is about 20 ga. and seems a touch thin.

Looks to be a tool that has a place in my shop.

As the tips wear it will need calibration. How is thes accomplished?

I have something similar that was my father-in-laws. I do not think you will see much wear on the tips.

I don't have any need for it but I want one anyway. Something about the design borders on steampunk.

Now if only the other side was Metric, I'd get one.

That was my thoughts on it. With most of the world metric I'm surprised they don't offer that option. I grew up with imperial and used it almost exclusively for the first 40 years but now I rarely use it as everywhere I've been (which it looks like there's another on the horizon) living since is metric. I find myself actually passing of imperial tools as the mental back n forth conversions are more a pain.

Old ones are more like 1/16" thick.
