I took 1171 BF of the red oak and white ash that I had sawn last Oct. to the kiln today. Using a professional moisture tester it was down to 12% in the center of the board. My small pin tester read 8% on the surface. In two weeks I’ll have a nice stash of 6% lumber at 55 cents a BdFt.( .30 BdFt. for cutting down the trees & sawing & .25 for the kiln drying.) Here’s a pic of one of the three pickup loads it took to get it all there in my ½ ton Chevy.

Mark,

What are you going to make with the wood?

Great to see trees turn into something useful. Not a bad a bad end user price either.

:D Why don't you just put that truck in reverse and bring me a load down here in New Orleans, it should be dried by the time you get here:D if you are doing 70 mph all the way.
