On black Friday I ordered a Freud Premier Fusion Blade (P410). I ordered a few items and one was on back order so I just took delivery of the blade today. But, to my displeasure the blade is the older style and not the new "trio" tooth finish. What makes it confusing is I have found out Freud uses the same P/N on both blades (this is a no-no where I work). This blade was $25 less than vendors want for the updated version. Is the "next generation" mostly marketing or should I be looking to return the blade?

Thanks,

Mike

Don't know if I'm happy with it - I didn't use it yet. Just thought maybe someone that has the "Next Generation" version could lend some helpful information.

Well the original Fusion is a fantastic blade. I have 2 and love them. Work better than my CMT, Oldham, Forrest blades. I know they have modified the tooth geometry slightly on the new style but can't imagine there will be much actual improvement. Have not read any comparison articles.
