I decided to make this post from yesterday into an album so I can easily share a link to it on woodworking forums: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10152988155241683.1073741871.126415221682&type=1

I hope some find it helpful.

Would it be too much trouble to post it on a photo hosting site? You need a Facebook account to view your album, which I don't have. Thanks

How's this:

All work is done at the bench vise.

303131

I use Masonite guides to protect the bench surface from the saw. Differing layers of double sided tape will provide a slight taper to finished butterfly.

303132

I clamp the work piece in the vice keeping my paper guide flush to the top of vice.

303133

Sawing.

303134

Aligning the wing cuts.

303135

More sawing.

303136

Waste is removed.

303137

The slight taper created by layering of tape.

Doesn't get much easier than that. :)

303141

Use the same process for more complicated designs.
