There are articles on the Internet indicating that the cab prices tonight might cost $8.08 per mile at one company in town and another company lets their drivers set cab rates. For some reason, I didn't think this was legal. Apparently it's happening all over the country. Guess it's cheaper than a driving while impaired ticket if your interested in enjoying adult spirits.

Be safe.

... the cab prices....

The article is talking about Uber and Lyft. Those are "ride-sharing" services and not cab companies. I think cab company rates are regulated, but I'm not sure. I know cab companies are fighting "ride-sharing" services in this, and many other, areas because they don't have the expense and restrictions of meeting regulations but are taking business.

Thanks,

I never heard of a ride-sharing service. Guess reading the article a little better would have explained that.
