I have that machine. Used it until I got an older, heavier, somewhat more powerful Delta several years ago. I kept the Jet to use as a moulder, yet I still haven't used it for that purpose. Never had any complaints on its capabilities as a planer.

I also have this machine and I used it until I got a 20" older Jet. I didn't have any problems.
