Someone sent me this a short while ago and I thought it would be of interest to visitors here. I wish I would have received it earlier.

We have two decorations on the dining room table - German, candle-powered, they spin around, carved kids and dogs and sleds, and guys carrying home the Christmas tree from the forest, and people carrying packages, etc.

And they both have these trees on them. Fascinating to study them as they spin around. Especially later in the dinner party, on the 2d bottle of wine.

Ours are a bit more elaborate than this one, but you get the idea.

Kent, where did you snatch that picture from?

Bruce - you found that photo - good. I just rummaged around a bit to get an example. Then - went upstairs for a neighbors dinner - first of the season.

Not exactly sure what the real name is for these critters. LOML shows up with a new one from time-to-time. I think they are way cool. Look forward to seeing what the collection looks like each new season.
