Milwaukee 5625 under Benchdog plate

I'd like to mount my 3hp Milwaukee under a Bench Dog aluminum table plate. I'd like to use the router's built-in collet raising feature. Would I have to drill a hole in the plate to do this?

Yes and when you drill the hole make sure you orient the router so that the hole does not end up under your fence. You need to turn the router about 45º. In that position you can both release the lock and insert the router raising wrench.
