I think I will stick a fork in it and call it done.....wait - Did I say FORK? NO NO FORKS! It's done I tell you....

4" tall with a plethora of woods used including maple, black walnut, ebony, holly, and cherry. Only the stems of the flowers were not turned.Flowers, cheese and candle stick are painted. Wine label was hand printed on paper and glued on. I used a small drill as a scraper to hollow the vase and goblet and a micro-motor to shape the inside of the spoon. The cheese and the spoon were the result of waking up thinking about how to create them. Is this some kind of sickness????

C & C welcome.

Very impressive work Thom! I have a hard time seeing things that small - even with the use of a magnifier - but you nailed the proportions and forms on everything! Pretty cool work! Thanks for sharing!

Impressive to say the least Thom. I think this one wins the cool of the month award.

Nice Work Thom,

You missed the Itty Bitty Turning contest we had a few years ago, you may have won the contest with this one :)

Is this some kind of sickness???? Heh heh.
Well, you're the one who brought the subject up.....

I have a neighbor who makes really complex miniature buildings (kind of medieval Harry Potter/Lord of the Rings style) out of stones and twigs and such, complete with interior furnishings which he makes by hand and which you can see when you peek in through the tiny windows. He'll spend 6 months or more on a single piece and they sell for really big bucks. I'm gonna email him this picture, he'll really dig it I think.

Nice work. I couldn't do that sort of thing if you held me at gunpoint, but it's really pretty darn cool.

Thanks for the nice comments. I was not turning this small when the contest was running. If I continue doing these, and SWMBO says I should, I am going to have to craft some scale tools :D
