After extensive research to determine the appropriate dust extractor that would meet my specific needs, I have decided to purchase a Festool CT26 dust extractor which comes with a specific size hose and adapters specifically sized to fit Festool products. Obviously my existing collection of non Festool power tools which I do not intend to get rid of is equipped with dust ports of various dimensions. I expect to have to do more research to identify appropriate adapters to standardize the interface between the dust ports of my power tools and the Festool dust extractor. Since I suspect this is a common problem which may have been addressed by many woodworkers with more experience than yours truly, I would appreciate any advice on how to address this problem or if anyone can provide me with coordinates of providers in Canada which could stock adapters of various sizes to address this issue.

Thank you

Michel

Rockler has an adapter kit coming that may do the trick for you, available Spring 2015.
