This one my wife requested for my Aunt. Probably the most difficult box in the book (Ventura's book) ... actually broke a blade while cutting... that's a little unnerving :oops:

This is just before final sanding and finish... just thought I'd give y'all a peek. I have another copy of this box in progress for a co-worker... that one should be ready by friday.

Wow, never seen anything like that Jim. Very cool! That was alot of glue up! What is the wood?

Nice job Jim. I'd imagine there's a lot of sanding involved. Can't wait to see it finished.

Cory, it's figured bubinga. I found a very nice couple boards at the local woodcraft. My wife originally wanted walnut but went nuts when she saw the bubinga...
