Hello to all!

This is my first post, but I have been lurking for about 3 months now. Sure are a lot of knowledgable folks here. I love looking at the projects and reading the discussions. I thought it was high time I join in!

Here first are some picture of my basement shop. I occupy about 2/3 of our unfinished basement, about 23'x23'. Plenty of room for any project I can get up the stairs.

This is a view of the left side as you walk into the shop. Delta DP, Delta CMS(barely seen), wood storage, Jet DC1100 cartridge DC, Assembly/work table.

This is the view to the right. PM64A TS w/ Bies clone, DW734 Planer, Ridgid 6.25" Jointer, bench, misc storage.

West wall. Jet 12" BS, gloat bench from work (2" solid maple top and legs for $25, going to get a real base in the near future), Ryobi OSS (yeah, its a Ryobi, but it does the job)

East wall. CMS bench, DP.

If the shop looks hastily thrown together, it is. I am cursed by two competing desires: 1) to have a really cool shop with tons of jigs, furniture, and fixtures and 2) to satify all of the "I can build (fill in the blank) better than that piece of particle board crap" (only it will take me 2 years and cost 10 time as much). But I really like the hobby.

Here is a pic of my latest project, just to show that I actually do make things. The table is mine, solid red oak. Design was shaker, copied after one I saw. The chairs are mail order u-stain-it things made from alder. The two tone finish turned out kind of neat I think.

Enjoy!

Jason,

Welcome to the Creek!

It sounds like you've got a nice shop setup, unfortunately the only pic that comes through is the dining room set. Nice job on that set, though!
