For those that are interested, or not, I have posted a short multiple choice survey on my web site with regards to Panel saws. It is very short. I am curious as to what most think. It is next to the "Home" tab at top. Thanks in advance. Ron

I left my survey.

I'm so glad I got my Bontz saw, when I could afford it!
Just used it this morning.

These things hold an edge, forever.

kudos

My Bad Axe is gathering some sawdust since I got one from Mr. Bontz. Half back in Apple is on order.

I did my survey but it wouldn't let me choose multiples! My relatively new Bontz is a: 20" tooth line, 4.5" under spine, 0.025" plate, filed 15* rake, 20* fleam, 10 tpi. I bought it for a Stanley 150 miter box, but I just bought a 8" saw guide from LV to use with it too.

Please keep the "clover nib" if you make them.

I left my survey. As admirable as the saw shown may be, I can not justify the expense for something that will have to suffer the hardship of earning its keep in my shop.

Maybe the survey could have included one more selection (other) so people could make comments instead of trying to figure which bubble to choose. I like artistry in work. If it doubles the price of function, then I might be hesitant to spend it on something that may have a rough life in my shop.

I was happy to acquire a plate and screw kit of yours without a handle for dovetail saws. I haven't made a new handle of yet, but it is moving up the to do list. The plate was mounted in an old saw back and handle and it has been working great. It is now my favorite dovetail saw and am anxious to build a handle and put the kit into service.

Best saw I own, my half back.
I like his "Reagan" handle.

The saw is heavy, and it wants to point down.
The handle is a little larger, and allows better control.
