I bought this jointer used over 20 years ago and I have never figured out why the fence adjusts abnormally. I can adjust the fence at 90d using a square at one end. I lock it firmly down and when I put the square on the other end it is out usually at the bottom by about 1/16th or so. This is at the full bed width. It will eventually square when I move the fence toward the outside and the square it, lock it and check for square and it is on the money.
The causes me no great hardship in jointing lumber but I would like to use other areas on the blades to edge joint to even out wear.
Who ever responds must understand that I am a mechanical cripple. I do have the blow up of machine and all of the parts shown.
The fence is flat as I have checked with a Veritas straight edge.
Thank you.

Square it to the out-feed end and use it.

Dang! That's too simple. I thought I would at least have to of had my hind end lined up with the North moon.
Thank you, Myk
