Hi Everyone,
I normally use the Engravers forum but today i have a unique issue
and i am hoping someone here may help with a solution.
Long story short, I have supplied a sign company cut 1/8 brass letters
12 inches high polished and lacquered.
We started off getting the letters clear powder coated and the guy
who did that stuffed them, So i had the powder coating stripped
and the letters repolished and lacquered.
it seems the new Lacquerer has used a lacquer not suited to outside and the sign guy
who installed them 5 metres on the outside of a building also seems to have have had an issue
with some small areas of lacquer coming off as he installed them,
Yes he still installed them now due to all of the gutless people running for cover
it is up to me to find a solution.

The letters cannot be removed so the repair has to be done in place
is there any way anyone here knows how to protect polished brass
once the lacquer has been removed and have it last for at least a couple of years?

Thanks in advance.

I have used One Shot Waterborne Clear for this, you can apply by brush and if you get any on the wall just wipe off with wet rag. This is a UK link but it's available here at any better sign supply.
