Our next door neighbors just returned from a temporary one year assignment to the west coast. They came over this weekend and wanted to give us some souvenirs from their trip. These people are very good at getting items that "fit" your or would be something you really like. While they were gone we watched over their house and did some repair work for the tenants when needed.
I was blown away when I opened mine. It is a Stanley #45 in very good condition with 12 blades. It appears to me to be type 12 with the floral pattern. Now I'll have to build a box for it and learn to use it. Figured I'd make a wood box for it with dado's and rabbits, cut with the plane.
Started to do that yesterday, but it was just too hot and humid in the shop. Barely cleared the work bench and I was drenched in sweat. Weather channel said that the heat indexes was 105*. That's too hot for me.
