Lighting regulations no longer allow ceiling fan manufacturers to make lighting kits for ceiling fans with standard light sockets. They all have to use candelabra base bulbs.
The stupid thing is there are no good energy efficient light bulbs for candelabra base bulbs. So, I am stuck using 60 watt incandescent bulbs instead of 11 watt LED light bulbs. The candelabra base LED light bulbs put out very little light. How does it make any sense to require candelabra base bulbs so I have to use 180 watts for lighting instead of 30 watts with medium base bulbs?
