Stanley #8 Prices ??

What's a reasonable price to pay for a Stanley #8?? I'm currently looking at some planes up for bid on eBay and want to know what to stop at if I decide to start bidding. One is a #8C currently up to $54 and the other is a Bedrock #608C currently at $100. Both Corrugated, and both appear to be in very good condition.

I'll bet the 8C goes for $80 to $90 and the 608C goes for $180 to $240, assuming they are in good user condition. I haven't seen those auctions, so YMMV.

Well Tim - you were pretty close on both counts. I let the 8C go while I put a bid on the 608C. It ended up going for around $70. I put a $135 bid on the 608C just for kicks. Didn't really expect it to last long and it didn't. Within 2 hours someone had jacked it up to 195 and minutes later another bidder took it to 197. I decided not to compete at that price range. I just checked the ending price and it went for $256. Yikes. At those kind of prices for a used plane, I might just go whole hog a get a new LN 8C.
