Hello Anthony,
I really like both of these pieces......but I think my favorite is the lidded box. The finial looks just right. I always have trouble with finials.

I've done a fair amount of spindle work on the lathe, but just haven't figured out the hollow vessels. Great looking work. Lars

Turning hollow vessels is even more addictive than bowls and spindles! (IMHO, of course) There is just something about holding such an item in your hand when you are done creating it that is compelling. The challenge of hollowing cleanly and evenly is also a big part of the appeal of hollow vessels.
