I made this stand for my dewalt portable bandsaw using some 2" angle iron, a couple pieces of 1" angle iron and a couple 8x8" plates of plate steel. To eliminate a bit of wobble I also tapped and mounted a 1 1/8" piece of aluminum round rod from the table directly to the base and that really tightened everything up well. These are nice little metal cutting bandsaws that have a really small footprint.

Now THAT is really nice. Great idea. My metalworking shop is too small for a standalone vertical say, and I really don't like my horizontal saw locked in the upright position. That is the perfect solution.

Wow, that came out really nice. The aluminum rod looks like it will keep things solid. Good job!
