I need to know the distance from the bed to the bottom of the feet for a Bosch 10", and 12", Compound miter saw....i.e., how tall is the bed? I don't own the saw yet, but am building some shop cabinets and need to know how much shorter the chop saw cabinet should be such that the bed of the chop saw is level with the surrounding cabinets such that they can be used as support when cutting long boards.

If anyone has time to post this dimension for each saw I would be grateful. I have searched around the interweb and find certain dimensions for each saw, but not the height of the bed.

...and Bosch seems to be closed today!

Thank You!

I don't have the dimension but, once you have it I would make the platform the saw sets on adjustable for alignment purposes . . . or maybe the side tables your building already are? It would be convenient if more folks would post diagrams of their products wouldn't it? I have been in your boat before and am sure I will be again ;-)

Val--

Just because I'm such a nerd, I looked online for the manual for the 12' Glide saw (model GCM12SD ). Buried on page 30 of the manual is this info:

The base height (3-3/4") is designed to match the standard lumber of two 2xs and one 1x.

The same language appears in the manuals for the models 5312 (12" SCMS) and CM10GD (10" "glide" saw)
