I have been asked to make some 4"x5" wipe-off plates for industrial containers. The people that are requesting this would write on the boards some temporary items like date filled, weight, time ect. When the customer receives the container it would not matter if the information gets wiped off at that point. When the container returns to the filler (the people that are asking me to do these) then the information that was previously written would be wiped off and the whole process starts all over.

The material cannot be the 1/8 inch fiberous wipeoff boards that are found in stores like Home Depot and Lowes as it will not handle the outdoors. Also the material cannot be Rowmark as it does not completely erase the wipe-off markers.

Im thinking of anodized aluminum or stainless steel plates, but not sure if they will work.

Thanks!

Regular old aluminum from JDS works. Try the white that lasers black.

Or white Dyesub Aluminum. You can get that stuff cheap.
