I just thought I would be a little different than most of you guys around here and go for something different, Laguna LT16. :D The Minimax MM16 was a little bit beyond my cash fund. I have had it for about a three days now and it seems to be fine. I did not realize how much dust is produced my a bandsaw... The guides where pretty easy to place and the blade seems to be running parallel to the fence right out of the box. There is going to be a learning curve sense this is my first bandsaw. Tracking only took couple minutes but then again I did not really know what I was doing. The whole setup was pretty easy, even for a beginner, maybe being an engineer helps? Well I guess I've got some learning to do, good thing the weekend is coming up. :D have a good one!

Nice Bandsaw, I've had my LT-18 for about seven years and been quite happy with it. Happy sawing..:p

You will have to try Torbin's specialty- slicing paper thin pieces of balsam wood! (never could figure that one out)

Nice saw!

I think you done just fine, Brian! :) I forget where, but I think I saw the LT16 being called one of the "Best Buys" by one of the test groups. I've had a Laguna for about 1-1/2 years and really enjoy it.:) Have fun with it!:)

Had my LT-16HD for just over a year now. Keep finding new ways to use it. Had never owned a BS before. Don't really know what I did without one now.

Sitting here drinking the first cup of coffe of the day I can not help but notice all the changes.
I bought my HD-16 about 2 years ago and it doesn't look anything like your saw.
Hope you have good luck with your new saw.

Congrats on the new iron. I have had my LT18 for about 5 years now without so much as a hiccup out of it. You may read tales of people complaining about the Laguna service, but overall you will not find a better bandsaw.
Good luck with the learning curve and watch those fingers.

Thanks all, I'm already beginning to see the reason why some many people have a bandsaw. Now the job becomes finding that superior blade...
