Derek posted his design for cutting the perfect tenon.

I thought you might be interested in these images from "The Craftsman" magazine at the turn of the 20th century.

They are not as slick as Derek's, but I think they would work.

It it more complicated to make, but it looks great. It is more for japanese saws, but it can work with western without the spline.
