I'm about to upgrade my Powermatic 14" bandsaw. Although I have a 700 sf dedicated shop attached to my garage, I just don't have room for a real large band saw. Looking at the relatively compact size of the 1500 plus nice fit and finish, along with 3 hp, it's high on the list at the moment. I realize that the $2,899 street price is considered by many to be outrageous but I am willing to pay for fit and finish if the machine is good in other respects also. My local Woodcraft had a 14" model right next to the 1500 and the 1500 seemed great in a side by side comparison. I have 12" PM Jointer and 20 " PM Planer and PM hollow chisel floor model mortiser. I like all of them. Had a new PM 66 which I sold only because a 5 hp Sawstop was very compelling. I would appreciate comments from anyone who actually owns a PM 1500 bandsaw. What do you like about it, what don't you like, would you buy it again. Thanks. Bob

I can't offer anything on that 1500, but while at Woodcraft you can test & compare it to one of their Laguna BS. Always nice to give yourself a few choices to support any final selection.

Thanks, Patrick. There must be some Creekers who have this PM bandsaw. Bob.

Still not sure why no one on the Creek has a PM 1500 bandsaw, at least no one that has one has replied.
