I am receiving requests for ADA signs. The laser can cut the parts but I do not know how to do the raster balls. Has anyone had luck on the laser using the program that is for sale on the sign manufacturers board?

Thanks in advance,
Robert

I just downloaded the macro and it works fantastic.

Robert,

I have laser engraved thousands of ADA signs using Aaron Koehl's Corel Draw Braille Script.
Do you have specific questions?

Not to cut in on Robert's post, but I have heard there is some type of license you need to purchase first?

The license is only if you purchase a tool and software from a particular company located in Minnesota. The download from SMC works very well with Corel draw and the laser. You just need to do some experimenting to find the right raster power and speed. Not complicated, just takes a little practice.

Ugh, 50$ for software download access? Meh

Jason, it is a very good software investment. It will pay for itself on your first one or two orders.

That, and the fact there's no other way to do it without some sort of conversion program. You can't just type in text, convert it to a braille font and be done. $50 is less than the cost of one ADA sign.
