Hi,
I am considering making a chest like this one (http://www.stephanwoodworking.com/JournalLiddedChest.pdf). It uses a frame and panel bottom. It would be easier to use a simple tongue-and-groove or shiplapped bottom. I suppose it would provide more structural strength than just loose boards on the bottom, but is really recommended or just theoretically better?
Thanks,
Marko
