router Question

what do you put on the base (Bottem) of the router? wax?

I have never put anything on the base....just kept them clean. I have owned a few of the plates you inquire on. I was not pleased with the difficulty of popping in and out the little rings in the center. They are really in there.

Just a second to what Donnie said. Nothing on my base plates except clean....and I too have issues with the rings on the Rousseau base plates. Surprised one hasn't broken yet based on how hard I have to hit it.

I don't use wax, I do, however use a little Top Coat, sure makes the base slide easier.
