I was cruising barnesandnoble.com, did a search on "woodworking"and found that they offer about a number of old woodworking books for FREE. They are scanned copies.
Edit: Turns out several of the ones I downloaded are garbled and others are only partial copies. Sorry guys - Id delete this thread if I could figure out how to do so. I got just what I paid for most of them.
