Monday after I finished the table and my second plane, I thought it'd be a good idea to try my first bandsaw box. As of this morning, here it is: (just before finishing)

Looking good.....be sure and post finished pics.
Just to relate a little story, don't want to point fingers at anyone but a fellow woodworker with the initials DLD had decided to try his hand a BS boxes a couple of weeks ago actually one that looked very similar to yours. He cut the back off, next cut was the cut for the drawer then.......the drawer cavities.......anyone see a problem with this sequence?

Ooops  , someone forgot the drawer front's and back's. That was my biggest fear while cutting this box. I used some Koa that I had for it and did not want to mess up that pretty block of wood. I kept ventura's book open during each cut.

Jim, the only comfort I can take in being so far inferior a woodworking than you is that I am a better photographer. :D ;)
Seriously, very nice work. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
